Carrie Johnston, MA, LLP

Carrie received her B.A. from William Tyndale College with a major in Psychology and a minor in Christian Thought. She did her graduate work at Wayne State University, where she received her MA in Marriage and Family Therapy/School and Community Psychology. Carrie is a Limited Licensed Psychologist who enjoys working with individuals, couples and families and helping them overcome a variety of issues and concerns.

She believes that just about everything from anger issues, substance use, and depression in adults & teens to defiance and anxiety in young children can be linked to relationship problems. Carrie works alongside her clients so they can gain strength and support to make important decisions, alleviate anxiety and depression, heal relationships, and enjoy a more fulfilling life.

Carrie's special interests include working with children who struggle with fears and anxiety, attention issues and behavioral problems. Carrie also enjoys supporting parents who struggle with parenting concerns or the challenges of raising a child who has emotional or behavioral issues. She also has years of experience working with couples and adult individuals, as well as performing premarital counseling. Carrie offers Christian counseling, which includes Biblical principles and values for those whose faith is central to their well-being.

Carrie lives in Howell with her husband of 13 years and their 4 daughters. She enjoys traveling, camping, supporting her husband and daughters' wild adventures, and spending time on Lake Michigan. Since graduating in 2006, she has worked in the Brighton area, serving the community that she lives in and loves!
