Life Transitions Counseling

Many people find that times of transition can cause sadness and stress, as well as relationship strain. Life transitions can include marriage, divorce, retirement, relocation, empty nest, parental divorce, college or career decisions, or birth of a new child. Although many of these transitions “should be” happy times, the insecurity of change can carry a sense of displacement, loss of connection, and fear of the future.

Individuals, couples, and families who are experiencing a time of transition can benefit from processing these unsteady times with one of our psychologists. We work with you to evaluate the transition's effect on your life, set goals for how to cope, find meaning, and make any necessary decisions or changes. Our therapists can help you navigate these transitions and renew hope in what lies ahead.
