Almost 7% of Americans are diagnosed with clinical depression each year, and many others experience symptoms of depression. Symptoms of depression can include fatigue, loss of interest in activities, social withdrawal, weight gain or loss, poor sleep, poor concentration or motivation, and feeling hopeless. Some individuals report having thoughts of wanting to hurt themselves or hurt someone else.
We use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as well as Solution Focused Therapy to assist individuals with depression. We address behavioral, social, physiological, and cognitive aspects of depression. Because depression can have many causes, we believe it is important to look at the overall well-being of each individual to determine areas of focus. Our therapists use a warm, supportive approach to help individuals improve their coping and reclaim their happiness.
